Rising to commercial challenges

The last in a series of three roundtable events organised in collaboration with Cambridge University’s Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) took place in London this week. Following on from similar events in Cambridge and Oxford,  it brought together stakeholders from the UK quantum landscape to explore the adoption and commercialisation challenges of quantum computing and quantum communication.

Professor Chander Velu and Dr Fathiro Putra from the University of Cambridge are undertaking a detailed study on future productivity impacts of quantum technologies in the UK. At the roundtable events they presented their findings so far to an audience of academics, investors, policymakers and industrialists followed by lively discussions. A joint white paper between the IfM and the QCS Hub is scheduled for later this year.
